Suppose I may as well make a formal introduction here.
My name is NattiKay, though those of you who found this through tumblr's IY community (which I'm assuming is most of you for now) probably know me as inukagkids. I'm 19 and a sophomore at BYU, where I've just started my first year in the animation program. It (and just the semester in general) is keeping me pretty busy so far, but I'll still try to find the time to do IY stuff where I can.
I first stumbled across Inuyasha via Netflix in 2011, towards the end of my 9th grade year. I admittedly wasn't too interested after the first episode--I remember thinking it a bit odd--but I kept watching because I wanted to know what happened to the guy with the dog ears. By the time I was over that, it was too late--I was hooked to the story and especially the characters! Needless to say, Inuyasha himself is my favorite, though I like all the main cast well enough (Miroku's probably my least fav of the bunch, but I don't hate him or anything.)
My only real ship in the series is InuKag, which I will ship to my dying breath. I don't mind MirSan, it's kinda cute, but tbh I just never really got as emotionally invested in it like I did with InuKag.
I do have a few ships I don't like though, the biggest NOTP for me being SessKag. It just doesn't make any sense to me and doesn't seem to fit right with either character. I'll also go ahead and admit upfront that I also don't ship anything homosexual or incestuous, so any pairing falling into either category is a NOTP for me. I mean, if that's what floats your boat I'm not here to stop you, but I personally won't get behind it. I hope we can all be civil about that. :/ InuKik is also slight NOTP for me, but tbh I'd take it over SessKag any day because while I find said relationship to be not that strong and even somewhat unhealthy, at least it's still plausible given the canon.
Any ship not already mentioned I feel pretty neutral towards.
I have a post-canon fan universe titled "Adventures of Tomorrow" (or the aot-verse for short) based on the children of the main cast. While it's focused pimarily on the InuKag family (for whom my blog is named), it does include a few other families as well, including but not quite limited to MirSan and KougAyame. I draw a lot of stuff from AoT and will probably wind up posting a lot of them here as well as back on tumblr. I also occasionally do comics and/or fanfics in the aotverse, so if you're interested, please keep a lookout for those as well.
You can also find me on my main tumblr, IY tumblr, deviantART, YouTube, and even FF.Net (though if you visit my ff page I'd advise you not to read anything except for the AoT collection; everything else is old, poorly written/characterized, and the descriptions of the OCs are extremely outdated. Do yourself a favor and just avoid them.)
SOOOO yeah. Hope to get to know some cool peeps around here and I look forward to discussing with ya'll and sharing art and ideas.
