The first fanfiction I ever read, of anything, was:
The Lucky Ones by Terri Botta
In like 2006.
My friend was telling me about the show and I watched a couple of episodes on Cartoon Network (so not from the beginning. I think it was the one where Kikyou falls down the cliff right after being revived and one that had Kouga in it). Armed with only that little bit of information I ended up reading this fanfiction. I just read it and went with it and I learned stuff along the way too.
So, really, that FF is responsible for allllll of this fandom inside me--more than the show itself is!
How did I happen to find that ff? KrisCynical linked me to it! So she's responsible too.
